We are holding a Combat Patrol 40k tournament on Sunday. The entry is free and it is for a bit of fun and an introduction to 40k. We will have a couple of shop armies available for those without and if anyone else can spare an army for the day please let us know. If you haven't played before that is not a problem, there will be plenty people around to help you out.

The timings are
12.00-12.30 registration
12.30-14.00 round 1
14.00-15.30 round 2
15.30-17.00 round 3
Wrap up

The rules of engagement are below:
40k in 40 minutes rules:

•Armies are no more than 400 points.

•You must have at least one troop choice

•You may only have one HQ, but you do not have to take an HQ choice.

•You may spend remaining points from anywhere in the codex of your army.

•No special characters

•No 2+ saves

•No models can have more than 2 wounds.

•No vehicles with a total armor value 33 or more. (Calculate this by adding front, side, and rear armor values, *note: only count side armor once)

•You must designate one model as your force’s commander.

•Once your entire force has taken 50% casualties you must, at the beginning of your next turn, and every consecutive turn make a leadership test using your commander’s Ld value at -1. If your commander dies then you use the next highest leadership value in your army. In this case your leadership checks are taken at a –2 (-1 for being below 50% and an additional –1 for the death of your commander).
