Hello to all Scottish Wargamers

I returned to my old club at Carluke and had a grand time whipping Union Bluebellys with some good old boys, a great scratch ACW infantry battle.

I love the hobby but dont get enough playing time out here in the west coast.  The Carluke Club website tipped me off to this site which should help me get a fix on want is going on in Scotland.

Hi i'm Bob Philip from Greenock wargames club we've been running for about 36 years now, we  do a lot of different periods ranging from ancients to 40k.

We're lately started looking at  War of the Rings for a project next year..

We also tend to do  Large battles mainly 40k and ancients the last 40k battle i organised was played on a 24 by 8 feet table, yeah Apocalypse.

We also have  themed games for ancients, the latest one is  to kill the great king I.e me since I won the first battle and seized  the persian throne.

Basically it  has about 8 ppl with different forces vying for position, some trying to take the throne and others hepling defend it, all in all its a good laugh, tho i think i'll abdict  first  Grin

Well  if your interested i have put another post, with our address  in it..

Cheers Bob

Hello all, I'm Iain McGhee from Paisley.

I play WW2 and Modern 20mm (using modified Battlefield Evolution rules), Wings Of War, B5:ACTA and Firestorm Armada at present (although I've dabbled in most periods over the last 30 years I've been wargaming).

I'm not currently a member of any club.

Keith from Kilmacolm here. I've been gaming for 30+ years and still haven't grown out of it.  Mainly boardgames - with a solid preference for wargames - and am now looking to return to figures gaming after discovering a box in the garage with a full Norman and Saxon army which I bought in 2003 at Salute and then promptly forgot about.  Out come the paintbrushes!

Have played some RPGs but not a big fan.

Also have designed a few games, one of which is currently bothering various publishers. Am always looking for playtesters for ftf gaming.

Well where to start, I play many many tabletop games for example:

Warhammer 40k
Fantasy Battle
Battletech
DBM
DBA
Ancients

Oh and I also attend the TNG club on a Thusday night at Highlander.  I have also dabbled in MTG, Startrek and Jihad I thinks its now called Vampyres. Mmmm Gangrel.

I have also roleplayed and did some tournaments in my wilder days.

You will see me lurking, or perhaps you wont if I pass my dice rolls!

Ooh, just found this site ( no thanks to Tom Smiley )

Name's Joe, been wargaming, rpg'ing for 30 years now, off and on.

Currently getting into 28mm WW2 with Rules of Engagement. Also have masses of GW junk and a Macedonian/ Pyrrhic army in 28mm for WAB.

Live outside Perth but don't get to Intrepidations as often as I'd like. Run an rpg group on Sunday nights for a few close friends, spend the rest of my time painting commissions, walking the dog and attempting to not do the garden.

Cheers all,

Joe
